OR Nolan could go completely insane and choose option #3 he could throw poison ivy, mr. freeze, clayface and/or killer croc into the mix and make it into a bad combination of spiderman three and shchumacher's batman & robin.

Batman the Animated Series was probably the best written cartoon ever imo. other than the nolan batman films and perhaps the original burton batman film, it was the best depiction of batman and was the best depiction of its villains. introducing harley quinn, making clayface friggin awesome, and, in mr freeze, going from a 3rd tier comic villain to a deep and amazing character. great stuff.

so i think they can give him a second chance and other villains that could appear i think catwoman, black mask, bane, think in villains that they are not like super mutants like mr frezze, poison ivy, clayface.
