Linda Grant if you look at the latest polls labour would still get the most seats on UNS so it is equally possible (but would seem to go against clegg's love of change and PR) that the Lib-Dems will go with the "largest" party - Labour. so you are totally wrong to try and scare people into thinking that clegg is coming down on one side or another - it is another labour tactic to try and prise away their weaker voters from the lib-dems. as for clegg's "demands" to the labour party that should they come third in the popular vote then Brown cannot remain PM, is it any worse that Brown stays on then the person who leads the party with the second largest popular vote (but fewest seats) being PM, or perhaps a Labour MP who never came under scrutiny as the future leader of the country? clegg's ideas of fairness tend to change to agree with his desire or expectation for power.

I have very little time for the man but this sort of dirty trick should be met by the Guardian with disapproval, not glee. an i bet if we saw nick clegg's notes and cameron's notes, we would see a lot of notes as well. why report this. we all knew it was scripted, i really think radio is the way to listen to this. all this crap about "did he look in the camera" i couldn't care less if any of them looked in the camera. anyone who does look in the camera has once again been told to do so.
