  • noun A genus of extinct rhynchocephalian reptiles, typical of the family Clepsydropidæ, having a long and narrow skull, upper canine and anterior incisors much larger than the other teeth, intercentra in the dorsal and caudal vertebræ, and double-headed anterior ribs. They occur in the Permian rocks of North America.
