• noun A genus of extinct Pelecypoda of the family Ledidæ, of primitive taxodont type, with teeth in a continuous series on both sides of the beak, and a clavicle, in both valves, extending from the umbones. It occurs in Silurian and Devonian rocks. Also Nuculites.
