Fortunately, this fetish of mine fits well with corwin's love of buying housewares, so now at least we have all the proper wine & drink glasses (red, white, champagne, cocktails, etc ...) and he's never complained about my continual search for machine-washable but beautiful table cloths and table runners.

"commercial art". i became fixated on judith hoffman corwin's appliqued alphabet that she created for american baby magazine. judith is quoted as prefering a straight stitch rather than zig-zag so that the edges can rag and fray so as to transform her work into a "raggedy pattern so that it flows and is not regimented".
