  • "Police are looking for the owners of two World War I medals that were found next to rubbish bins in suburban Melbourne. A woman handed in two bronze plaques to police which were found by her aunt in Churchill Avenue, Ascot Vale.

    One of the plaques is believed to be a death penny which was issued to the family of each member of the British Imperial Force who died in World War One. The second plaque has an Australian Imperial Force logo.
