The following endemic plants are endangered: two grasses, Sporobolus durus (possibly extinct) and Sporobolus caespitosus (few tufts remaining on Green Mountain at 730 m); Dryopteris ascensionis (a single plant was seen in 1976, occurs in moist ravines), Pteris adscensionis, and Anogramma ascensionis.
