  • I totally agree with taxpayer about a city's priorities being safety services of fire and police - and the street dept. parks and rec is a positive for elyria - but it isn't a necessary dept if push came to shove. there are programs that more than pay for themselves in our parks dept; however, if the contracts say that part-timers go first and that dept is mostly part-timers … perhaps that would be something to consider for the negoiation table in june / july

  • All of these guys make deals and do favors for each other, I personally will miss Judge Musson, these 3 guys are morons and will abuse the power of this job with in one year, municipal court in elyria is a joke, its run by morons and Grunda is their leader, it is funny how the editorials in the CT that favor one of these ya-yos is from another attorney or a person in business from elyria, they all need favors and they need their guy or women on the inside to continue with the corrupt nature of law in this city, vote for who you must but beware your scraping the bottom of the barrel in this election.

  • Incidently - it wasn't 22-21 in 2008. they'd already been cut back to 17 by then, and further cut to 14 last year. with staffing of 15-17; they can have 3 stations open, and sometimes - 4. keep in mind that the staffing at 11 included one person manning 911 calls; that are now going to be assigned to county; freeing up one more person for the vehicles and call responding. go to the elyria fire dept website - there are links there to national organizations and other information that can actually answer some of your questions … if you actually want to know the truth - even that which doesn't support your theories and accusations.
