  • A family of limicolous Oligochæta, consisting of small worms having straight or curved setæ, sometimes a single pair of calciferous glands, a dorsal vessel in the anterior region, and usually a single pore on the præstomium. It contains Enchytræus, Pachydrilus, and several other genera found in fresh and salt water and in damp earth.
