  • noun A third branch of the limb of a crustacean, as distinguished from both the endopodite and the exopodite; a segment of the typical limb, actually developed in some of the limbs in relation with the branchiæ, and articulated with the protopodite or coxopodite. Also called flabellum. See cut under endopodite.
