• A family of saltigrade or leaping spiders, typified by the genus Eresus, having the cephalothorax much elevated and convex in front, the two posterior eyes much further apart than the next pair, and the tarsi furnished with 2 or 3 claws. Also Eresoidæ and Eresides.
