  • Last night i saw on the internet that a ej20 owner build a "false head" for his engine, so he put his head gasket and headbolts and torqued them. there is a big hole in the middle of this false head so they can start cutting the sleeve to the specific bore he wants. he told that the function of the falsehead was to torque the head so when you torque your heads, theres a little engine block inflection, so its better to machine the sleeves when the engine is "deformed" due to when the engine is build up, you must consider that you have torqued your heads and theres a deformation and you can have some problems with the sleeves or rather with any other piston or rings problems.
