Most of us fall somewhere in the low end of this broad spectrum in our own ways, and that's OK. The novelist Kurt Vonnegut, in his May 1998 commencement address to the graduates of Rice University gave wisdom for those who wonder about their place along that spectrum: "Mark Twain, at the end of a profoundly meaningful life, for which he never received a Nobel Prize, asked himself what it was we all lived for.
