Refusing to split infinitives (a sub-heading of verbals) seems illogical to me, seeing as grammaticians/grammarians seem not to frown on ‘splitting verbs’ (specifically main verbs containing subordinate clauses from said clauses).
I guess it's technically syllepsis, and the grammaticians will be mad at me later, but I like saying zeugma.
Hmm. The “sentences can’t end with a preposition” rule is occasionally applied to English, but usually by frumpy and humorless grammaticians.
