  • noun A genus of platypodous gastropod mollusks, belonging to the family Strombidæ and closely allied to the recent genus Pterocera, having an expanded body-whorl with reflected canal and the outer margin of the aperture produced into a number of tubular spinous processes. It occurs iu the Jurassic and Cretaceous rocks.
