  • If users have recently installed any software packages, especially utility or feature-enabling ( "haxie") software, it is recommended to remove these packages.

  • "haxie" enhancers for OS X (Finder, Mail, and Safari) might experience problems with the Safari beta.

  • Farb, drabble, haxie, and swancho were new to me, and their definitions plausible; nomenklatura was an old friend being a Russian term for the Soviet system in which the Communist Party would make appointments to government posts, but I just couldn't see how it could be used to mean 'non-literally; by analogy' or how it would get there. NOMENKLATURA?

  • Useful Mac OS X modifiers: Patchburn is a free haxie which allows almost any internal optical drive to work natively in Mac OS X recently saved me at least £80; there are a whole raft of useful apps and services—some free, all inexpensive—at Unsanity. posted by Devil's Kitchen at 7/08/2005 06:35:00 PM

    MacUpdate - Mac OS X

  • For the curious, Labels X is a great Unsanity haxie that allows the gentle colorizing of icons, a la System 9, in place of the ghastly stripe of color that OS X glops around a filename.

  • But as I said further up the thread I have a suspicion that some of these issues are caused by a software conflict with an input manager or haxie or some sort of system level mod.
