- Noting an acid, a colorless compound, , prepared by the oxidation of isatin, or by the action of ethyl chlorformate on anthranilic (orthoaminobenzoic) acid. It crystallizes in small needles and melts and evolves carbon dioxid at 230° C. Also called
anthranilcarboxylic acid .
