  • Ok, this one is not particularly interesting in relation to the rest of VO's list.

    Nevertheless, what gets me is the Italy ship bit, which seems an odd grammatical construction driven by the need to keep headline length to a minimum. The first sentence of the article proper is: "An Italian cruise ship has fended off a pirate attack off the coast of Somalia, the vessel's captain has said."
