Reply: republicans may have lost a few seats, but after impeaching clinton, they ended up with a republican president and majority in both houses (until spring when jeffords switched from R to I and voted with dems). after impeachment hearings drove out nixon, dems took the white house too. historically, it has worked in the favor of the courageous ones.
