dan, my comment is, as jon says in his post, "appropriately skeptical." his son's position is as germane as jon's pondering about plants in the abc town meeting on health care and his dismissive phrasing comparing it to accusations against the bush administration. if he can conjecture is that an appropriate verb? then i can don the cynic's hat as well. and i'd argue familial bonds are far more influential than ideological ones.
