Deena: 7:15 pm: Every jungian archetype is set on myth.
Stories are retold, mythologies much like in the jungian sense are archetypes, they are a repository of universal truths.
Or is this just another example of comic book stories syncing up with old ideas, some kind of strange metatextual or jungian event over at DC, happening in a strangely Morrison-story fashion?
The black horse is a symbol of the shadow jungian psychology.
Burt Alpert fundamentalist dualism in characteristic campbell/jungian fashion, larsen reshapes mythology to condemn history. all religious dualism, repeat all, mythologizes a real struggle against oppression in the minds of the oppressed. dualism in itself, from zoroaster on, is a cry against the social predator - the "stealer of cows," and should be appreciated from that place, however perverted it becomes at the hands of those who in their heart of hearts seek to maintain oppression by mythologizing its delivery. incidentally, there is no evidence of "mythological paraphernalia" on cro-magnon cave walls. by
vonbon3000: yeah, me too. is there some sort of "bird whisperer" out there? or do you need a double doctoral psychiatrist? how do you get it to lie down so long? freudian or jungian? these are teh questions that prevent me from sleeping.
