Next day went on a proper sight seeing mission saw a meditation temple out on kiem lake which was quite spiritual place then to the catholic cathedral missed mass but got some good pics of the outside, then to Hanoi Hilton originally built by the french to imprison any vietnamese revolutionaries then later was used to harbour prisoners of war during when Vietnam was against America mostly captured pilots most famously John McCaine Who ran for American presidancy against Obama, was a really intresting place and quite moving.

The web's original travel blog hello i am now in hanoi where it very hot well yesterday was cool i am told as it was only 37. have been for a walk around the hoam kiem lake and visted the temple on an island in the middle. my hotel is nice enough but i dont have a computer in my room or free flowers or fruit or water as they told me i would and its so noisy i cannot sleep my room is on the 5th floor out of 8 so every person that comes up the stairs in the night i can here being really noisy the vietnamise people are very friendly whenever i sit down on a bench to rest and drink more water they always come and sit next to me and ask lots of questions to practice their english 1 man even made notes of all the new words i said so he doesn't forget. glad you are having good time even if it is cold!!! hope you are taking lots of photos, can you put them on your blog
