Lianas and climbers are also common in the understory, including Combretum elaeagnoides, C. celastroides, Dalbergia martinii, Acacia ataxacantha, Friesodielsia obovata, and Strophanthus kombe.
These latter are derived from a plant, Strophanthus kombe, and they act in a quite different way.
