Reminds me of a hypothetical (and equally ridiculous) tort question about a guy falling off a cliff, through no fault of his own, who would kill you if he landed on you, and you couldn't move to avoid having him land on you, and you amazingly enough had a futuristic lasergun that would vaporize him, and whether or not you could vaporize him to avoid having him injure you. mail):
