  • A tribe of plants of the order Primulaceæ, the primrose family, of which Lysimachia is the type, characterized by the lobes of the regular corolla being convolute in estivation, the stamens inserted on the petals, a superior ovary, and semianatropous ovules. The tribe embraces 9 genera and about 110 species, principally natives of temperate and subtropical regions.
