Sometimes I shake my head at how poeple think (or don't think). come on guys. it's spring training. i'm a huge o's fan, but there's no reason to rip on joe angel (one of the best radio announcers there is) and fred manfra, especially since it wasn't their fault. during the regular season this would have been a problem, but spring training? let's get our priorities straight.

If you've ever heard Jon Miller do Vin Scully, that's entertaining. joe angel and fred manfra are excellent. the mets announcers hit my ears like nails on a chalkboard.

We had to wait through several minutes, until the half-inning ended, before getting one. sadly fred manfra sounds like abiut 85\%-95\% of all baseball radio broadcasters which means he is average at best and his voice and style isn't anything extraordinary. let's face it he'll never be in the same class as a chuck thompson, john miller, joe angel, vince scully etc etc etc. but trust me he is leaps and bounds better than the yankees and former baltimore talk show host john sterling. i have xm radio and listen to a lot of different baseball games and most guys just have a nice voice and have no real idea how to paint a picture for the audience to visualize ..
