Obviously the specifics of any situation would come into play, but what's your general feeling? and that's not necessarily a knock on him - he'll be 22. there are plenty of prospects - top ones, too - who aren't ready at that age. i do not get the insistence on pushing him to charlotte after an AA showing that can most favorably be described as a young kid holding his own. the hitting tools are there but he needs to show them. part of the reason it looks bare at 1B is because of how prospects are developed. often guys are kept at another position in the hope that they'll be able to stick there. viciedo's likely treatment is an example of that. both viciedo and marrero are guys that one could reasonably put at 1B.
