  • A group or order of nemerteans having the brain and lateral nerves lying within the dermal muscles of the body-parenchyma, the body-wall as in the Mesonemerlini, the mouth in front of the brain, the proboscis usually with stylets, and a cæcum generally present. It includes several families, among which are the Eunemertidæ, Amphiporidæ, Tetrastemmidæ, and Malacobdellidæ.
