- n. A supposed new metal reported by A. T. Abel as separated from the Cranbourne (Australia) meteoric iron. It was later shown by Flight to be identical with Reichenbach's tænite, and was named by him edmondsonite (after George Edmondson, Director of Queenwood College, Hampshire).
