Well, 1 week and 1 day past my due date, my midwife (midman?) told me that he recommended I go in for an induction, as my amniotic fluid was low and we were getting close to the 2-week-past-due cut off (where they seem to think the placenta starts becoming less and less efficient and starts to break down).
