  • noun A dactylic hexameter with the thesis or first syllable of the last foot short or apparently short; a hexameter irregularly terminating in an iambus (⌣ —) or a pyrrhic (⌣ ⌣) instead of a spondee (— —) or trochee (— ⌣). See dolichurus. Also meiurus.
