The Antihypertensive Treatment in Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage (ATACH), funded by The National Institute of Neurologic Disorders and Stroke, is a multicenter open-labeled pilot trial that plans to recruit a total of 60 subjects with acute supratentorial ICH who will be treated with intravenous nicardipine infusion to achieve the blood pressure goal of 110 mm Hg to 140 mm Hg, 140 mm Hg to 170 mm Hg, or 170 mm Hg to 200 mm Hg. The goal of this trial is to determine tolerability and safety of aggressive pharmacologic reduction of acutely elevated blood pressure after ICH [84].
