- n. The wee hours.
Sorry, no etymologies found.
I'm at the coffice by "o-dark-thirty" as the Navy dorks I used to work with would say - work straight through, home for lunch by two-sumthin-sumthin, pick up the gals at three, and cook dinner and have it on the table with a big martini by the time Sarah walks in the door at five-whatever.
I got the bulk of it done Friday of last week, but started going in every morning this week (to get back on the getting up at o-dark-thirty routine) which enabled me to get a lot more done.
Meanwhile, the dining facility at Forward Operating Base Ghazni, in Afghanistan's mountainous eastern Ghazni province, is setting up "something special" for Task Force White Eagle members who want to watch the game despite the "o-dark-thirty" kickoff time, reported Air Force Master Sgt. Sarah R. Webb troops, the provincial reconstruction team public affairs officer.
Sleepy when I read the VC, since with an almost 2 year old in the house, o-dark-thirty is the only me-time I have.
Shortly thereafter I had to go home and get some sleep before work (this is being written at o-dark-thirty in the morning), and as of last word the injured is doing fine.
