  • noun A genus of fieshy discomycetous fungi of the family Pezizaceæ, having smooth, more or less irregular ascocarps, usually split on one side, and the margins convolute. The species are mostly large and brownish, and grow on the ground. O. Onotica is a common species in Europe and America.
