  • :-) Thing is, now these guys have put the concept in my head I keep seeing these words everywhere!

  • It passes for lame wit almost anywhere. Come on, that sh*t's funny. ;)

  • A group of friends, who shall remain nameless, continually send me words that end with -er (or soundalikes) because they imply lewdly that something has been done to 'her'.

    eg. "Rototiller."

    "Rototiller? You brought her!"

    "Liquid fertiliser."

    "Liquid fertiliser? We're not married!"

    "Rector? Damn near killed her!"

And so on. I've been told this passes for wit in Rochester.

  • I have to admit, my first thought when reading this in the list as it went by was: "Porquería? I hardly know Ería!"

Very bad joke. Pretty word, though, for "rubbish"!

  • Literally, a "because shop"? My Spanish is muy awful.

  • Exactly what it sounds like - brilliant. Thanks.

  • porquería:

    1) rubbish, garbage

    2) a thing that is of no value

    3) a word, phrase, or action that is indecent (one of the definitions I suspect you picked up on, yarb!)

  • Sounds cheeky. What is one of these, then?
