Well, I updated my kernel to tweak some ACPI parameters (fruitlessly, as it turns out; I'm trying to get powertop to give me more information but I haven't found the magic combination of kernel parameters it wants on this machine) and so I did a make modules_install.

Visit the following links: ok so i have been running powertop and running their suggestions (running it once is enough right, like it stores that and uses it at startup too right?) and the suggestions are on a loop right? if you fix it the sugestion should still be displayed right?
