So many people hit their children to gain control … personally i think that if hitting your own child is the only way to get them to understand something, theres something really wrong with the parent … it only teaches your kid that violence is how you solve things and get your way. it makes your kid afraid of you, not have respect … and wouldnt it be better for a child to learn that sitting down with their prents to talk about how it was wring, why, and what a reasonable punishment would be? it shows that you can talk to your parents when you need to, that the responsible thing to do isnt to hurt others … has helped in 1 other user's post.
