- noun A disease characterized by progressive hyperplasia of the lymph-glands, sometimes of the spleen, with anemia and the development of secondary lymphatic growth in various parts of the body, but without leucocytosis. Also called Hodgkin's disease, lymphadenoma, malignant lymphoma, lymphosarcoma, anemia lymphatica, etc.
