  • In De Blainville's classification (1825), the first one of three orders of his Paracephalophora monoica asymmetrica, containing the three families Limnacea, Auriculacea, and Limacinea, or the pulmonary gastropods, as snails, slugs, etc., both aquatic and terrestrial. Also Pulmobranchia. Now commonly called Pulmonata or Pulmonifera.
