  • n. A drinking-vessel of pottery, with perforated sides and several hollow knobs or little spouts around the rim. A tube extends from one of these knobs to the bottom of the interior, and the liquid contents can be drunk without spilling only by drawing the liquid up through the open tube, after closing with the finger an air hole in the under side of the handle.
