  • noun A crystalline base, , made by distilling aminoacetic aldehyde with mercuric chlorid solution and in other ways. It has the odor of heliotrope and melts at 55° C. In general the name is applied to the substitution-products of pyrazin. Also called piazin and paradiazin. See azin.
