  • noun That property of a body which renders it less opaque to certain varieties of X-rays than to others. Radiochroism is selective absorption in regard to X-rays. It is analogous to diathermancy and to color, which denote the same property in regard to the infra-red rays and the rays of the visible spectrum respectively.
