  • Of or pertaining to Revin, a town of France, in the department of Ardennes: in geology, a term introduced by Dumont (Système Revinien) to designate the second division of the Terrain Ardennais in France and Belgium. This consists of quartzites and black slates with Dictyonema flabelliforme, which in other regions is an index fossil of the Upper Cambrian.
