  • noun One of the zeolite group of minerals, a hydrous silicate of aluminium and calcium, occurring in acicular crystals, also fibrous and radiated massive, commonly white. Early called lime-mesotype.
  • noun In botany, the vermiform archicarp of the fungus Ascobolus, a name proposed by Tulasne. It is a structure composed of a chain of cells developed from the end of a branch of the mycelium.
