The segfaults I think are because of either input text files that are too big or have characters in them that are unpronounceable- so I chopped up the novel with split it probuces files terminated with aa,ab,ac..., hand edited out '#' separators, and convert with text2wave:

As far as i know, segfaults may be handled intercepting the SIGSEGV signal, but this produces an undefined behavior.
