• noun A local name at Meteor Crater, Coconino county, Arizona, for a globular mass, having an outer shell of limonite, an inner core of unoxidized iron, and an intermediate layer of nickel hydroxid and oxids of iron. Such balls are believed to be meteoritic in origin.
