This week I got a private sneak-preview tour of downtown Berkeley's David Brower Center, a bold new 50,000-square-foot experiment in "green from the ground up" architecture that will open to the public on Sunday, which is Mothers Day, which makes sense if you think of it in a Gaia/Pachamama/Demeter/Mother Nature sort of way.
