  • totally weak. Can't believe I waited in line for this "legendary" ride.

  • Aw, it's OK. It was built so long ago, and the big cool thing was being in the dark. Rollercoaster technology develops pretty fast so they're all kind of scarier and better now than when this thing was built.

  • As coasters go, yeah, weak. For me the excitement was always seeing the blackened outlines of the metal coaster frame, but not being able to make out details. It gives the unnerving feeling that you're constantly going to smack your arms against something painful, or decapitate yourself if you're very tall.

The verdict: while it doesn't produce many Gs, or even go upside-down, it was effective at causing me to fear for my safety. It also jerks and whips you around pretty good. And how many Florida coasters can you comfortably ride in the hot, humid, or rainy summertime?

  • Though not a roller coaster, I had honestly thought I was going to die on Splash Mountain.
