How is the "specificness" of a handler is defined?
I think there is something in the theory, but I also find that it is “lacking” an awareness both of the specificness of the metaphor (i.e. does the olympic gold image resonate with everyone?) and the theories of self (which still, by and large, fall into an enlightement and therefore euro-centric view of the self and its relation to society being highly individualised).
