As per Eveningstar's comment, there is also a 2nd monitor shown on flickr with a grey area that is for desktop icons, almost like a manual version of stardock fences : Icons are not allowed on the image itself ever!

Been using this fetchingly theme years ago on windows when first i have tried stardock, also gt3 icons .... nice to find them ready for gnome now.

Hell stardock take around 30% for selling/distrubuting games according to there own site so i imagine retail stores are about the same.

I would also like to mention that plenty of gaming companies have been more successful strictly due to their lack of DRM added with a quality game (stardock games, civ 4, etc).
